What Seeds are Your Planting?

Have you ever planted a seed and tried to watch it grow? Not the most riveting stuff. Literally feels like nothing is happening! Gardening or Farming has never really been my thing. It is a lot of work and a lot of patience. You can till the soil plant the seeds, water and protect the land and for weeks never see any growth. Finally after all that time, you can see a sprig. It won’t be for another month or two before anything substantial shows up depending on what you grow.

Sometimes, it feels the same way with spiritual growth.

You’ve decided you are going to live for Jesus. You take a few days and plan your day around it. Wake up early have quiet times, work on Scripture, but after a week or two, you don’t feel any different. So frustrating. Or you commit to coming to church, and you try it for a few weeks, but at the end of every service you feel like everyone around you knows each other and you feel neglected and unimportant. It’s tough to keep going.

Here’s some Monday motivation: Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Here’s what God says in Isaiah 55:11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

Every time you spend time in God’s Word- it is like planting a seed that will take root and before you know it grow into something beautiful in your life. God’s Word will not be wasted.

Just remember every time you feel like you want to give up, God’s Word is living and active inside your heart, and you are growing, whether you realize it or not. Don’t give up. God is doing a work in your life today.
