Happy New Year and Prayer Dedication

Happy New Year! Can you believe it’s 2022? Personally, I’m not sure where the last two years have gone! Last thing I remember, it was March of 2020 and we had ALL KINDS of plans for the year! We really had no idea what was coming, did we? But after it all, here we are, celebrating a New Year. A fresh start. What does that mean for you?

What are you hoping for during this new year?  I want to encourage you to not look at what resolutions you can set...then forget...then try again to make happen... But to instead make a dedication to building your relationship with God throughout this year.  Dedicate time to reading God’s word, dedicate time to talking to God, sharing your desires with him, dedicate your day, each and every one of them, to making God known, even in some small way to those around you.

Let me encourage you, or even motivate you, to share what God has done in your life, big things and small, with those around you, showing that God is ever present through each difficulty and accomplishment in our life.

Psalm 143:8 says, “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.”

Each morning, be reminded that God’s love is unfailing. His grace is overwhelming. He is there each morning waiting to grow in relationship with you. To show you the path to take. He wants us to trust him.

Each day is a fresh start. Yes, we have a new year and new opportunity to make changes and grow, but think of it on a smaller scale-each day is new.

Building your relationship with God this year will allow other people to see his amazing love and gifts that he gives you daily. Each and every day is an opportunity for you to share something that God has done for you.

Open your heart to the idea of making a sincere dedication to God, allowing him to use you this year. I can’t wait to see what he has in store for you.
